I started playing music in the grade school
band. Played saxophone through junior
high school. I sang in the school and
church choir through high school. I took
bass guitar lessons from Jessie Austin for
2 years. I took guitar lessons from
Speedy West Jr., Danny Hargis, and
Studied for 5 years under Joe
Settlemires. I've had music theory, ear
training. My sight reading is rusty but I
studied that too. I write some material of
my own, but love and appreciate music of
all kinds. I grew up on Elvis, the Beatles,
and the music of the British invasion. I
also like Bob Segar, Bruce Springsteen,
New wave like the Cars,  and the Talking
Heads. There are to many great ones to
name. I like old & classic rock, as well as
classic country, jazz and "THE BLUES".
I also enjoy flying. It was a passion and a
dream I shared with my late mother "Betty
Jean". I am a licenced pilot and used to
have my own Cessna cardinal, named
after my mother.
